Sigma Iota Rho- International Relations Honor SocietyThis international relations honor society was created to promote academic excellence within the field of international global affairs or studies. I have been an active member of the Beta Rho chapter of Sigma Iota Rho at FIU since Spring of 2015. I have participated in informational workshops, world affairs game nights, debates and even consulate visits. Through the camaraderie of this group, I have grown as a scholar in my field and my eyes have been opened to all of the different paths I can take with this major.

This organization is also known as the United Nations Children's Fund. At FIU it is a student-led organization that partners with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to educate, advocate, and fundraise for UNICEF's lifesaving work. As the Advocacy and Education chair, I have helped plan fundraising events such as the Tap Water Project to acquire funds for countries lacking access to clean drinking water. By focusing on service and advocating for women and children, this organization has allowed me to realize my areas of interest as an international relations major.
